Booking.com ahead of Expedia on hotel business in Europe

According to the survey of Morgan Stanley the hotel reservations(OTA) market in Europe , Booking.com occupy 47% of the share vs Expedia's 21%. The advantage of Booking.com is the big amount of hotel providers. The number of hotels on booking.com  is 310,000 and 200,000 hotels on Expedia.
Focus of the two websites are different, More small and single hotels on booking.com  and More Hotel Chains on Expedia.
Main Reason of the difference is the distribution cost. Booking.com is the cheapest partner of Hotels. But Expedia Charge more higher brokerage. Prepaid is the main mode of Hotel booking in Euro, 2-3% credit card rate also Increased costs of Expedia.
